Warranty
EnergySmart electric vehicle chargers are covered by a 3-year warranty. However, additional charges resulting from repairs or modifications beyond the warranty period will be the responsibility of the purchaser. Replacement products or repaired parts will be guaranteed for only the unexpired portion of the original warranty or six months, whichever is greater.
DISCLAIMER: The foregoing electric vehicle charger warranty is an exclusive warranty in lieu of any other express warranties. Any implied warranties (including but not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) applied to an electric vehicle charger shall be limited in duration to the periods of the express warranties given above. Warranty will be VOID if any of the following conditions are found: 1. Electric vehicle charger has been damaged post installation. 2. Electric vehicle charger has been modified or relocated in any way since installation. 3. Alterations to the property where the Electric vehicle charger has been installed have negatively affected the operation of the pump. 4. Any type of product abuse by customer. Any oral statements about the product made by the seller, the manufacturer, the representatives, or any other parties, do not constitute warranties, shall not be relied upon by the user and are not part of the contract for sale. Seller ‘s and manufacturers only obligation, and buyer’s only remedy, shall be the replacement and/ or repair by the supplier/manufacturer of the product as described above.
Refund & Returns
All goods sold by Velocity come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the CGA. You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if the goods:
- Are faulty or defective
- Are not of acceptable quality
- Do not match the description or sample
- Are not fit for their intended purpose
Returns & Refund Eligibility
You may be eligible for a refund, replacement, or repair if:
- The item arrives damaged or faulty
- The item does not work as expected (not due to misuse)
- The wrong item was sent
- If the issue is minor, we may choose to repair the item or offer a replacement.
- If the issue is major, you can choose a full refund, replacement, or keep the item and receive a partial refund.
Change of Mind
We are not required by law to provide a refund or exchange if you change your mind or make a wrong selection. However, we may offer store credit or exchange at our discretion if the product is unopened and returned in original condition within 14 days.
How to Request a Return
To request a return, please:
- Contact our customer service team at info@velocity.co.nz
- Provide your order number, details of the issue, and photos (if applicable)
- Wait for confirmation and return instructions
Returned items must be:
- In original packaging (where possible)
- Accompanied by proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)
Return Shipping
If the item is faulty or incorrect, we will cover the return shipping cost. For non-faulty returns (e.g., change of mind, if accepted), you are responsible for return shipping.
Timeframes
Returns must be requested within 30 days of receiving your item. Refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days once the returned item is received and inspected.
